Dear Friend:
I just wanted to drop you a brief note expressing my heartfelt joy that
you have visited First Baptist through our church web page. The
congregation would genuinely love to have special guests like you in
our worship services. I provide the following for your information about
the church:
First Baptist Church has just celebrated its first fifty years of ministry to
the Harrogate community, having been founded in November 1946.
First Baptist Church is affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention
and has adopted the 2000 Baptist Faith and Message as its doctrinal
confession. Close to home, the church is an active affiliate of the
Tennessee Baptist Convention and the Cumberland Gap Association of
Baptists.
The community of faith that meets here seeks to minister to our
community and the entire world through a world mission program, a
competent professional staff, and a dedicated team of volunteers.
Our regular Sunday schedule provides Bible Study at 10:00 AM and
Worship at 11:00 AM and 6:00 PM. The Wednesday evening activities
begin at 7:00 PM and include age appropriate activities for
preschoolers, children and youth; while adults participate in a time of
praise, prayer and selected studies. I would like to personally invite
you to join us for any or all of these activities or services anytime you
are visiting our area.
